Manual Conversion Pedal Assembly

Hey I have just rescently picked up a t-56 out of an '97 f-body to replace my 700r4 and was wondering if I would need to use the clutch pedal assemly and linkages from a 3rd gen or a 4th gen, i realize the t-56 has a hydrualic clutch and i don't know anything about the old t5's, any advice valued thanks.

Re: Manual Conversion Pedal Assembly

You can use either, but both have issues to be aware of.

The 4th gen assy needs the part for the gas pedal cut off.

The 3rd gen assy locates the stud for the MC rod farther from the pivot than the 4th gen one, thus making the MC's stroke longer. In effect this makes the whole clutch pedal action occur right up at the top of the pedal, and makes it a bit stiff.

Either works, pick your poison.
