Converter Question
So, i'm trying to troubleshoot some random problems left with my build.. one of them is quite annoying.
I have a 3500 stall converter in my 700R4, It acts like it's supposed to at WOT and all is well there.. however at idle when i drop it into gear the idle drops hard from 1200 down to around 700..
At 700 RPM i'm pulling around 4" of vacuum and the ECM throws a MAP high code then the car just stalls. I usually don't run a IAC motor but i put one in just to see if it would save it from stalling, no dice. I've datalogged it and the logs don't show anything weird.. just the RPM dropping, MAP jumping up to 80+ kpa then it stalling.
Think this converter is junk? I bought it custom built from Revmax last year.
Thanks for any help.

Re: Converter Question
Figured it out, was in the tune. The high MAP code was also throwing the car into limp mode. Changed the MAP upper limit for the MALF 33 code to 90Kpa and no more problems.
