My guess is you would need a conversion box like the one made by Dakota Digital.

Re: viper t56?

its driving me nuts, i spent all this money on gauges because i didnt want to use the cable converter box and the stock stuff. im not getting a signal up to the speedo. i tested the speed sensor and the only way i was able to get a signal was with some configuration of wires that was not that way it was supposed to be wired and that signal was only like .18 volt. the speedo needs 2 volts.

Re: viper t56?

Is 2v the min but it accepts more?

Is
configuration of wires that was not that way it was supposed to be wired
your way of including as little detail as possible?

The Viper VSS isn't the only one that works but there may also be no reason to change it.

Re: viper t56?

i had looked at the dakota digital box and i thought it said it can increase the speed sensor output by 4 times, if i only have a .2 volt signal 4x isnt going to cut it. maybe i missed something though.

Re: viper t56?

ok i just tested my wires, my 5 volt radio shack regulator crapped out, again. i put 12 volts to it and it did make a signal but this time it was .9 volt. i cut everything put the signal to the center wire with the whit tracer + and - to the other 2 and it works. anyone run them with 12 volts? im having no luck with the 5 volt regulators from radio shack.
