HAY GUYS I AM LOOKING FOR A SET OF GEARS FOR MY 88 IROC Z IT IS AND DANA 44 DISK BRAKE REAR END AND IT WAS FACTORY IN THE CAR BUT I AM TRYING TO FIND A SET OF 4:10 GEARS FOR HERE CANT GET MY 60 FOOT TIME DOWN AT THE TRACK RUNNING 95 TO 97 MPH THROW THE TRAPS AND ONLY RUNNING 15 TO 15,5 HELP PLEZ I NEED HELP

look how many variations they're showing for the D44!
But you say it's a stock 88? Then it's probably the 9-bolt, not a Dana.

If so, it's 3.73:1 or swap to a different axle.

 

a dana44 was never factory installed in any 3rd gen, they were only installed in the firehawks (91-92), built by SLP, and available over the counter by GM.

If it is a dana 44 is was swapped in at some point.

ifs its indeed the original axle, are you sure its not a 9 bolt?

 

i know it has been a really long time. i have found out by calling slp found out it is an Aulstralian 9 bolt. and have only found one place to get gears it looks like almost 900 for gears and a carrier. so i have been looking for a 4 gen 10 bolt rear cheap i live in jacksonville nc seeing if there was any thing close to the area
