So everybody says its a lot of work and better to just buy a manual car. My car has sentimental value so I want to do a swap. Can anybody give me an overview on what I would have to do for this swap or post a link on how to do it

This sounds like its your first time doing something like this; that means you need EVERYTHING.
My best advice to you is to buy a wrecked/scrapped/totalled 3rd gen with a clutch pedal and start there.
When you do that, you have EVERY bracket, hose, nut, bolt, etc... and you have the guide of how to put it back together the right way.

There's a link with pictures showing a t56 transmission in place of an auto. The stock T5 would be similar.
If you're mechanically inclined, have a nice tall set of jack stands, floor jack, and a decent set of tools its really not bad at all.
