rearend swap

I have a 91 rs and I want to put a rearend from a 96 z28 in. Does anyone know if it will fit or do I have to get a posi from a third gen?

Re: rearend swap

It will fit, but your wheels will stick out a little if youre using stock 91 wheels. Its a bolt-in.

Re: rearend swap

I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY wish people would stop using the phrase "stick out" when talking about 4th gen rear end swaps, since it implies something that is wrong.

They will SET out further, yes. Stick out implies they will be out past the fenders. They will not. They will still be virtually flush or just in from the fender lip, but not "sticking out".
