i need a new rearend
so my 90 formula's rear end is about to go (i think)
i wanted to do a rearend swap or rebuild with lower gears anyways (maybe 3.73's or something)
Basicly i want to know is what would be cheaper, getting the original rear rebuilt with lower gear's OR just doing a whole rear end swap
IF a whole rearend swap would be cheaper/better what is a good rearend to go with?

Do you want to spend a grand to gain 10% more strength, or spend 2 grand to double the strength?
Because the only way to double the strength for a grand requires both a lot of great luck, and great fabrication skills.

A swap to another rear is always cheaper - but you never really know what your getting until it's installed, so get a JY rear end with a warranty.

Re: i need a new rearend
well i talked to a guy at the jy
he's got one out of a 85 camaro for 150 for the rear and another 150 to install
considering i dont have a lift i may just go with that. and it does have a 30 day warranty.
