700r4 Lockup Signal?
700r4 Lockup Signal?
Is the lockup on a 700r4 tranny a simple grounding signal from the ECU?
Im hoping by swapping over the plug that the ECU that runs the old 200c tranny lockup can do the 700r4 lockup?
Thanks

Re: 700r4 Lockup Signal?
The 700R4 does lock up due to a ground signal, but internally the switches are different between years - some being a Normally Closed switch, and some being a Normally Open switch. In the carb section, there is a sticky on TCC lock up - it's all explained in there (with wiring diags).

Re: 700r4 Lockup Signal?
The TH200C didn't have a 4th gear switch, so the ECM isn't going to be expecting any signal from it.
