Never changed trans filter... leave it or change it?

I have an '88 Trans Am, 305TB, w/ about 105k on it. She was my daily driver for several yrs, but we did a full restoration in 2005 and now she's a garage queen/weekend cruiser. She gets about 500-600 miles a yr now.

I really can't explain how it was overlooked, but I've never changed the trans filter or fluid. The fluid looks clean and smells fine, I've never had any problems w/ the trans, and given the low miles that I put on the car every yr, is it better to just leave well enough alone?

At only 100k, I'd change it. While I was there, I'd get my pan drilled/tapped for a plug, so the next fluid change is easier. Then I'd start doing it every 60,000 miles.
