700r4 Issue

For awhile now, I've been have'n an issue with my 92 RS camaro slipping from 1-2. It doesn't matter if i lay into it off a light, or ease on it gradually, once it nears 18-25, the car feels/acts like it's in neutral. The rpm's climb and suddenly the car will jerk or break out of the stall to 3rd. What I've noticed is that this only happens after the car heats up, and i've been drive'n for longer than 15-20 minutes.

Mind you, I have no knowledge about Automatic transmissions. But i got to start and learn somewhere. At first after browsing the numerous threads on this forum, I thought it could've been some bad/old transmission fluid(Not sure how it could get bad since it's sealed), or the 2nd band going bad. I bought and used the Lucas Trans Fix Fluid (Can't remember the full/correct name) but it seems to have had no change/effect on it.(Used it about a month ago)

The camaro has a 350 TPI that was rebuilt in 08, but I think the transmission was left alone.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Re: 700r4 Issue

Is the fluid burnt? Look at it is it red or brown , does it smell burnt? I personally would try to flush the tranny and change the filter, before condemning it to overhaul. It does not sound good though....
