Hey guys,

Does anyone know if this clutch alignment tool will work for a stock T5 clutch? Link below:

I'm not replacing the clutch, just swapping it from one engine to another so I don't have an alignment tool.

Re: Clutch alignment tool

1 & 1/8" ... yeah it should work.

A used input shaft is best.
I've only used one like you linked once.

The plastic ones work fine as long as you wobble it up and down and set it slightly upwards from centre (maybe 5/8 of total travel) before tightening the bolts.

A nearby shoppe is bound to have a junk input or plastic tool they'll sell you in case that one's not in stock.

Re: Clutch alignment tool

You don't really "need" to use a tool to do it. just have to center the center of the disk over the pilot bearing.
Easy!

Re: Clutch alignment tool

That's right, you can do it by eye. But I would buy this plastic one. It's cheap as dirt and it works great:
