30 spine 27 spine?

Engine: 350 Mild cam 750 holly
Transmission: Beefed 700R4
Axle/Gears: 2.73
30 spine 27 spine?

On the spine there is a small one that has 27 spines and a big one that has 30 spines which one do i count for the TC, the big or small one?

The input shaft (27.)
If it's a 700-R4, it's an 84.5 or older unit.

Measure the input shaft diameter. The 27 spline is apx. .890" in diameter, and the 30 spline is apx. .990" in diameter. Mid 1984 is where it went from 27 to 30 spline.
