9 bolt iron calipers

Someone near me had a 9 bolt 3.23 posi for sale. I have a 1984 L69 rear with 3.73 gears, richmond locker and rear disks.

What kind of pain would it be to reuse my rear brakes also how much of an improvement is the 9 bolt is it worth the hassle?

Re: 9 bolt iron calipers

I have a 9bolt 3.27 I need pads rotors soon and my cluch cones are wearing out. Its hard 2 find parts for it and they cost more I can't find the pads at any local parts store online everything if for 10bolts but they do have they pros ez axle removal filling new gear oil stronger than a stock 10bolt brakes are bigger than a 10bolt. But I will be going with a 4th gen rear so I can put 17x11 zr1 rims on :-)

I have a 9bolt 3.27 the parts are hard 2 get I need pads rotors soon. Its a good cheap upgrade over the stock 2.73 10bolt if u going under 400 hp to the wheels. From what u have I would not or u just want better gas milage I will swap mine out for a 4thgen rear so I can put 17x11 zr1 rims 315 35 17 tires

Re: 9 bolt iron calipers

No difference between the braking systems of the 9- and 10-bolts--makes no difference if the calipers are iron (Delco-Moraine/88-) and alum (PBR/89+).
