700r4 transmission problem
I have recently replaced my 700 r4 with another used one in my 86 truck. Upon starting, it gave a loud grinding noise with a high motor rpm and absolutely no gears. The original torque converter was used on the new transmismission as it did not come with one and only the drive band had gone out on the other. Bad used tranny, bad tv cable adjustment, what? Any ideas?
