mega shifter for 700r4 vs th350

When I bought my car it had Th350 and B&M mega shifter. I want to switch it back to a 700r4 as it will be more of a cruiser than a strip car. I want to keep the mega shifter bc I like it in the car and think it fits the car well. My question is do I need to switch anything with the shifter, one of my friends said I may need to swith to a 4 spd gate. I looked but didn't see anything. Can anybody help me out here.

It's been a while but as i recall there was a bolt or something which acted as a stop that came with the kit which you used for a 350.
