Next week I'll finally be getting my 350-355... My power rating is going to be between 350-400hp (when completely finished). That's all I want to make, so the advice is for that amount give or take 10hp. I have a t5 currently with low miles, new clutch, and runs really well.... No whining or anything. When I throw this motor in, the tranny wont last under "race" driving, so I have 2 options I want to choose:

700r4 or th350

It's not going to be a constant daily driver, the most driven would be a week at a time. I like the 4-1/2 gears over the 3 gears, but is it possible to build a 700r4 that will launch better and shift better, or atleast the same as a th350? I wanna know that if two camaros built exactly the same (motor-wise) with these two trannys, which would be better off and why, or how could one out perform the other.... Thanks guys
