Is there an automatic that's a direct swap from a t5?
Can't seem to get any responses from my other post, so I need to know if there are any auto trannys that would be a direct, no if/ands/buts, swap? One that will use the same drive shaft/ crossmember? Looking to make 350-400 hp need it to handle that and shift without losing huge Rpms between shifts, thanks

How much would a swap like that cost? And could a 700 be made to launch and shift quicker and more useful than that of say a th350?

I don't know how much it would cost in your area, but I have just had a 700 built for mine. With some good parts the 700 is a good transmission. I went with some stronger bits and pieces, the usual corvette servo and the Transgo shift kit and it seems to work pretty well. The trans will hold a pretty warm 383, shifts quickly but not too hard at part throttle, and quickly and firmly at full throttle. It is probably more expensive to do a 700 than a 350 but the 700's overdrive is useful if you do a lot of highway stuff. Depends on your rear end gears too, I have 3.73s so overdrive is pretty necessary for me.

I'll be running 3:42, I dont think I wanna go much more than that... I'm running 3.19 right now to compensate for my slightly oversized tires, but it came with 3.08, highway gears.... That's too low, but I think 3.73 for me and what I wanna do is too high, just incase I do take it for a trip.
