For those with a t56 swap
For reference, I'm swapping in a t56 and lt1.
For those that did the t56 swap from a t5, is there a thread somewhere I cannot seem to find about everything that is required?
Right now my list comprises of:
1) Wire harness (ordered one from 1badeagle who had pocket make it)
2) Trans X-member
But, I keep seeming to find things about people who did the swap but had originally an auto trans, not a t5 like myself.
These are the things I'm guessing I can do (maybe not):
3) I can use the stock t5 pedals somehow.
4) Use the t56 hydraulic slave/master with the original t5 pedals?
5) Bolt the master in somewhat the original location?
These are the things I'm completely unsure of (procedure wise):
6) My speedometer will need a 2000-4000 pulse signal? Yet the t56 will be sending a 40,000 pulse signal?
7) This isn't the first time I removed an engine/trans, but it will be the first time I remove an engine/trans out of a rwd vehicle. Can I unbolt the trans completely, leaving the engine in, slide the t5 back so the input shaft clears and drop it? I will have to support the trans side of the engine, for sure.

Re: For those with a t56 swap
Yes you can remove the tranny from the vehicle without pulling the motor, infact this would be the quickest and easiest way. Im not sure what mods will have to be done to make the t56 fit since i have not done this swap but there shouldn't be a need to pull the motor unless you want to.
