series2 to3

i have an auburn posi with 3:08 and have a open with a 3:42,from reading looks like i'll need a spacer for the 3:42 to the series 2 3:08 pos. this is all for
E.P.P.(Experimental Parts Project) i've been playing with since last spring
my goal is to build something fun with whatever parts i already have with minimal $$$ spent on things needed. When i had the blower and slicks,it just fell on face at track from the line, now it's just carb'd with drive to the track, run a few passes, drive it home and think the 3:42 will be a help on 60' times
