Monsters 700r4 rebuilds

Just out of curiosity has anyone had any experiance with Monsters rebuild 700r4's and Tourque converters?... Id like to call them but Im currently out of country and phones are not readily available where I am, but I read there "handshake" warrenty and it seems they only cover their transmissions if you take them in for a professional install at certain places. Any input on this would be good to kno.

Re: Monsters 700r4 rebuilds

The tranny I bought was a stage 3, worked great for a couple of months then started slipping, , sticking in gear. The reason they shift so firm and hard is they remove wave guides (cushion discs) in the clutch packs which in time w/ hard use will ****up all kinds of stuff. Anyways long story short , when my tranny guy and me pulled it apart, we found used sunshells, planetary, different brand clutchpacks, stock bands, the list goes on and on. They would not warranty anything, wanted me to pay to ship it back for them to look at, and basically they are a bunch of lying *******s. The Tranny was supposed to hold 600HP, I'm lucky if my engine makes 500. The trannies are garbage if your car is modified and you are gonna drive it hard.
Search them on the forums here, there are plenty of unhappy customers. Call Dana at ProBuilt Automatics and get some real parts or a real Transmission that will hold up...
