changing to a posi ...
what do i need to change to make the speedometewr right ? i'm going from a 2.73 :! to a 3.23 :1 posi out of a 87 iroc ...

you need to change the drive/driven gears in the trans tailshaft to the proper ones. If you can get them off the car the rear come from, that would work too.

this rearend is from a 87 iroc with disc brakes i'm thinking it should be a direct swap but if not i'm hoping one of you guru's can enlighten me as to what won't work thanks

if you're going from drum to disc, you *should* change the prop valve. also will have to change the ebrake cables.
guessing its got different gears, so you'll have to change the speedo gears in the trans (as previously mentioned)
