TV cable adjustment giving me HELL. please help!
I am having problems adjusting my tv cable on my 87 700r4. The car has a holley and I am using the proper brackets from holley including the geometry corrector. I rebuilt my carb the other day, and dropped a size down jets to #69, and went with a 6.5" powervalve instead of the blockoff plug, and also changed from white accelerator pump cam to red one. I adjusted my tv cable after all this because It felt funny after all this, and now I got it all out of wack and can not get it back right so I need help adjusting this from scratch please if anyone Is good on this subject. The trans was just rebuilt about 500 miles ago, and has all the corvette goodies and the corvette convertor with a shift kit if this will help the car was shifting very firm and positive , and now it seems like it has a delay in between shifts and does not hit hard at all. its simple, you have to adjust the cable so that when the throttle linkage is at WOT, the cable is pulled all the way out. Thats it.

Push the "D" button all the way down and push the plastic cable part back into the housing. Then open up the throttle to wide open by hand or in the car. You will hear a bunch of clicks. Then your done. Some pull it an additional click after if it seems to not be shifting right but ive never found that necessary.

I tried the wot method by pushing the d tab In and sliding the adjuster in towards the firewall, and then getting in the car and abruptly taking the car to full throttle with the engine off and will not move at all. I also tried using the throttle lever by hand on the carb and still no luck. My buddy works at a trans shop and assisted me with the wot method and still no luck, but he adjusted by what he thought was right and still shifts 1st,2nd,3rd just right after i take off and dosent shift firm like it did whether im accelerating hard of soft. someone please help me come up with a conclusion. Thanks for your input
