calling the experts rear end
I always thought the borg warner rear ends were posi, and they had disc brake set up on them. The 84 ricaro parts car trans am i got has a borg warner posi with disc brakes. Not uncommon. I noticed on my trans am , it is a 85. It has a borg warner posi , but it has drums. I never seen a borg warner back then with drum brakes on it ????

The BW 9 bolt wasn't offered on a production car until 1985 and only on the Firebird. Anyone can easily swap out a 10 bolt from an earlier car and swap in a 9 bolt.

the borg warner was available in 1984 it is what was put in the recaro trans am's
