Will it fit?

Hey guys,

I'm currently trying to put a 700r4 into my 88 firebird, me and my friend were having some issues installing it from under the car, my question is this. The trans came out of an 88 chevy 1500 pickup and we were wondering if the bell housing is too big for it to fit? Or should they all be interchangable? Please let me know if I need to get another transmission, thanks yall.

the tail shaft will be different though, so long as the output shaft is the same length, you should be able to swap your old one with the TA mounts over to the new trans
