How long to swap torque converter?
I have 1989 5.7 Iroc, in everyone's experience about how long does it take to swap the torque converter? My old car was a 1982 with a TH350, I don't really have a lot of experience with the 700r4 though. I do have a transmission jack which should help.
Any PITA parts of this swap to beware of?

Takes me about 4-6 hrs depends on if your doing it on the ground or a lift.

Hardest part is just getting at the bellhousing bolts IMO 
with some setups its easy, with TPI it was very difficult but my single plane has tons of room to work with.
Can do it in a day easily. tranny jack helps. Remove cross member and move tranny back and down to get old converter off and new one on.

1st time around on a lift took about 3hrs. 4th time around just days later 1.5hrs total 
. but when doing them on the ground i could easily add another hour to it just from setting the car safely up on tall jack stands and getting trans back up on jack
