Any performance alternatives than a WC T5?
Hello, I'm looking for a performance 5 speed for my 88 camaro. Its equipped with a 305. And I will be adding some power. And i keep reading that the WC T5 is just underrated. Does anyone know of a direct fit transmission that will give me no problems installing and can handle 300+ hp/tq

Just don't use 6th gear, and it's a 5-speed.

Axle/Gears: Dana 44 3.31 posi pbr brakes

TKO is not necessarily a direct fit but its close. Do a search on here for whats involved to put on in. There are two versions, the tko 500 and the tko 600 each named for how much hp they can hold up to. They are both 5 speeds.

Haha, I shouldn't have said 5 -speed i shouldve just said standard. Ill look into this tranny.
