can I get a little more out of my 700r?
What's up everyone? I've got a '92 T/A WS6 with a 305 that has been bored .030 over. Nothing too big, but I was wondering if the B&M Saturday night special torque converter would be okay to use. Will it change the shift points and the lock up? Also is there any way to boost the line pressure, maybe get a crisper shift?

B&M torque converters are junk. There are good torque converters that are inexpensive. The 12" Edge can be made to have apx. 2,500 rpm stall with your 305ci. They come with a 2 year warranty and cost $325.00. If you have more money to spend, then go with the Edge 9.5" lockup torque converter. The 9.5" TC will give you a little more performance than the 12", but it depends on what you are trying to do here. Add the Corvette servo, and the larger boost valves at a minimum for better shifts and a longer transmission life. A good Shift kit would be the way to go if you want to do the most to it, but the above modifications should do ok to start with.
