700R4 hard acceleration off the line.

I have a 700R4 in my car and it has 88,000 miles on it, its a 305. Off the line today i took off pretty hard and my car feels like the wheels are spinning but i am paranoid about a transmission slip. its only a 305, it doesnt go sideways off the line. Should i be concerned. any thought?

If It's an open differential/worn out posi it won't go sideways off the line since one back tire is spinning and the other is planted to the ground not moving.

Highly doubt you have tranny slip. Do it again with the windows down and get it on it some more. You'll hear, smell and see the difference between. tranny slip and tire slip.
