Kick down cable question

Kick down cable question
I have a 92 z28 and a 700 r 4 and replaced my shifter cable on my B&M megashifter and drove the car yesterday and noticed at WOT it never kicked down. Do you need a adapter kit or how do you fix it, Thanks for the input.
