4th Gen Pedals, 3rd Gen Hydrolics?

New to the site, been researching for my lt1/t56 swap in my '89 RS and 9 out of 10 web searches lead me here so i thought i'd sign up.

Seems like everyone knows thier stuff, maybe you guys can help me with a question i can't find the answer to. I resently got a complete t56 swap, pedals and all for my car, not needing my old t5 i sold it to my brother. His car was automatic, so i let him take my master and slave cylinders, and the 4th gen pedals since they were already out. we got his car together and the clutch pedal feels pretty good, but it dosen't want to go into gear while its running, and seems like its trying to pull when sitting with car running in gear, clutch depressed.

Could it be the pedals, or another issue? The clutch has been bled numorious times, i'm sure we got the air out, any help would be greatly appreciated

still havn't quite got it figured out yet, we blew a seal in the slave cylinder and replaced it, bled it again, no improvement. then he found where other people on here were having simular trouble with their factory t5 cars and it was clutch assembly issues, since we used the clutch that came with trans (it looked brand new) he put a new clutch set in yesterday, but it didn't resolve the problem either, so we tried a 4th gen master cylinder and there was some improvement, it even put the pedel up where it went, but it still didn't resolve the issue, are we missing something?

Figured it out, a new 4th gen master cylinder took care of it, apparently you need a 4th gen master cylinder with 4th gen pedels, the first one we tried must have been bad, the 4th gen master cylinder will work with 3rd gen slave cylinder if anyone else runs into this
