So, I'm curious if anyone here has experience w/both modded T5s and the TKO 500/600 transmissions? I have no immediate plans for an upgrade, but it's in mind for down the road, as I understand the limitations of a stock T5.

I originally had the idea of a T56 swap in mind, but I also like the idea of being able to re-use my bellhousing, hydraulics, shifter, and the ease of simply reinstalling a removed T5. It's my understanding that the main weak point of the T5 is the transfer case. Would upgrading that alone strengthen a T5 much? I'm not planning to build a 500-600+ HP car, so I wouldn't be pushing a spendier option like a TKO to it's limits.
