what does it take to put a shift kit in my tranny? what is the projected cost of doing so? and how much difficulty is involved for a DIY person?

edit: this will be behind a 350carb'd vortec with flat top pistons and a xe268h cam IDK if youneed that info but there it is

 

forget the cost,but when i put shift kits in my th350 and
700r4 the job was easy on both-the 700 was the more
difficult because shift kit i used for that one was more
complex and included a corvette style servo.The th350
was done under the car so i had to put up with a
constant dripping of ATF as i worked i did the 700r4
on an engine stand,so much easier and cleaner than
doing the job under the car...

hey what flexplate do i need to go from 89 305tbi - 700r4 to 69-78 350 carb - 700r4?

 

you'll need a 154 tooth meant for use with '85-earlier
2-pc.rear main seal engines.

If you put a shift kit in, the trans more often than not will fail quickly unless it is fresh or a very low mile unit.

 

Wat about the flexplates and starter????????
