Moser 12 bolt Noisy??

Engine: Lt1 in IROC
Transmission: 5 speeds
Axle/Gears: Moser 12 bolt tru tracker 3.42
Moser 12 bolt Noisy??
i finally broke down and ordered a 12 bolt for my 87. I ordered it with 3.42 gears and a tru tracker posi. I asked the salesman if the gears were going to be quiet...as my 9 bolt whines..... he said "i'd hear it".....does anybody have one of these? do you actually 'hear it"? is it loud? pat

Most aftermarket gear sets are made from harder steel than factory (good/bad). This can create more noise. You may hear a drone or light wine, but it should be nothing near the realm of annoying or.unbearable. my moser 9. Makes a little.noise, but the exhuast and undercarpet sound deadining mask most of it
