Electrical to mechanical speedo conversion
Hi, I have an 86 iroc, originally an auto, but the previous owner had a 6 spd from a 94 put in it. How do I get rid of the electric speedo and reconnect the original mechanical one?

There's a member who modifies tailhousing; better design than JTR.
There's an electric box to drive a speedo cable.
There's going to an electric speedo and using a VSS buffer like a Firebird.
Anyway, read that whole thread; it'll tell you a lot about your car.
