700R4 Full Fluid Change?
I have about 5k miles on my newly rebuilt 700 and I am wanting to drain all of the no name DexIII fluid out and replace it with royal purple.
Is there any trick or technique that can be used to get ALL the fluid out of the transmission since dropping the pan will only drain 5 quarts?
I have always wondered if after dropping the pan and draining the 5 quarts can the pan be replaced and the engine briefly started with the vehicle in P to get the remaining fluid out of the converter and into the pan. Would this damage anything?

Don't try that. To get all the fluid out, you would have to drop the VB and the separator plate, and drill a hole in the TC, the size of a rivet. Shoulda started with the Royal Purple, but it really won't help anything.
