4th Gen axle swap questions??

I have a 86 Camaro and my rear end is shot. So instead of spending money on fixing it I was going to do the 4th gen axel swap. I know the 93-97 are 3.5 inches wider then the stock rear end. So here's my question what is the best rear end to use? The 93-97 or 98+.

Also all I have read is that the only modifications needed was new break lines and some modifications to the E brake. Is this true?

Thanks in advanced for any info!

The LS1's have the better parking brakes and, IIRC, better limited slips. BTW, Ed Miller sells LS1 parking brake cables.

You'd need to consider a combination valve and speedo gears (if need be). General info below that might be of interest:

If I grind the calipers will I be able to run a 15 inch rim? I just bought new tires and I would like to use them till I can afford the corvette rims

Depends on axle spline (26 vs. 28), but regardless of spline count, 10-bolts aren't known for their strength.
