Why did my clutch master fail?
I bought a new GM prefilled and prebled master/slave assembly for my T-56 swap off of ebay. From the moment I installed it, the clutch would not disengage. Checked everyting, and eventually saw that the master cylinder was leatking fluid where the pedal rod goes into it. I started to take that small rubber boot off to get a better look, but fluid just started pouring out. What would make it fail right from the get go? I never got to drive the car, because I couldn't get the clutch to disengage right from the start. I'm going to send it back to the seller and exchange it, but I just want to make sure I'm not doing something wrong. I thought I did everything the way you're supposed to, but maybe I missed something? I just want to make sure this doesn't happen again. Any thoughts or ideas?

It's simply a piston with o-rings. One may have torn during installation of the piston. Work with the seller.

That's my theory. I think it was bad from the beginning.
