help with my clutch!!

i was going into a stop light so i just pushed my clutch in like normal not horsing on it and something gave out and my foot slammed on the floor. i need to get it fixed very soon as im selling it before i go back to school any help is appreciated! my clutch pedal is just swinging free and i dont know how that works thank you!! its like something popped out of place or a cable i really dont know!!

Open up the clutch master cylinder and check if low of fluid. If so look for leaks and refill and bleed. If not then crawl under the dash and look to see if the clutch master rod is still hooked up to the pivot pin on the clutch pedal arm near the top. If it is I would move any rubber covers and look for leaks. If no leaks then from outside the car I would jack it up and follow the hydraulic line to the slave cylinder. Let us know what you find. Can you see any movement of the throwout bearing arm in any way? Maybe loosen the slave cylinder and have someone step on clutch pedal slowly while you look. If cylinder stays loose then the master or slave is bad.
