Car: 1992 firebird vert
Engine: 355 soon to be a 406
Transmission: 700r4 goin t5 then t56
Axle/Gears: 373 or 410
T5 clutch help
ok i switched from auto to a t5 when i put my 406 in my car got everything hooked up and with the car running cant put it in gear wont even grind i checked the travel on the fork and it bout 1/2 inch dont know if thats what its supposed to be or not i also am using a shatter shield instead of the factory aluminum bell housing any info on things to check would be appreciated and i have searched but havent come up with much thanks

Fork and it's spring clip in the same groove of the throwout bearing? If the clip is out of that groove, fix that first.
