Release slave retaining strap question

I'll try to keep it short....installed the release slave...bled it...blah blah .....
At the top of the instructions it says to NOT REMOVE OR CUT the retaining straps...in the instructions, after removing the old release, it says to "push in new cylinder's push rod to disconnect retaining bands and allow pushrod to fully extend" then, it dosen't say anything about putting them back on. The one that came off of it still had the old ones on it, anyway, i know almost everyone has changed these, but, i'm just wondering what the easiest way to do it is. I have about half the pressure on the pedal as what i used to, clutch fork pivot is fine, every othe clutch part is new, just to let you know. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Release slave retaining strap question

Thanks, i just figured out my problem....the hose going from the master to release cylinder was too soft and was expanding everytime i pumped the clutch. *make sure to check everything * is the lesson i learned!!
