K, so I bought a B&M Sport Shifter from summit and it arrived. Me and my dad found out though that it is not a "ratchet" shifter. So he offered me a trade for his pro stick shifter, but it is for a 3 speed. But summit also offeres 4 speed gate plates for the shifter. So if i was to pick up one of these plates for the shifter, would it work with the 4L60E? Heres the link...

It says 4L60, but I think the trannie out of the 2000 S-10 has the 4L60E? Any problems arising?

should work fine

4L60E is same trans as a 4L60 which is a T700 with a different name
"E" means shifts are controlled by the computer where as the earlier 4L60/T700 had the TV cable
