Rear end swap and necessary parts
Hi guys, long time lurker (since like 04 I think when I first bought my first Camaro) and finally decided to make an account and post.
I have a somewhat simple question, since you guys have been very knowledgeable over the years, I been pondering about recently as I come closer to swapping rear ends.
I have 2 1986 Camaros, One which has a 350 tpi which he engine blew, I am using to restore the one with a 350 carb, both with 700R4s in good condition. The TPI has a 10 bolt rear end I plan on getting transferred to the carb cuz its a one wheel wonder and I miss the old one tbh. I know the thing works and what not. My question is, will I be able to use every piece of the TPI towards the other one or should I get a kit or something, and if so, any suggestions?
Also, from back when I would drive the TPI, I know my speedo was off. Maybe it was because I broke the needle running 125mph with a 85 cluster, or maybe because of the swapped rear end (the way I bought it). Is there anything else I will need to correct the speedo if I transfer it over to the carb Camaro?
Thanks in advance, I'm glad to say thanks to this site I am very close to getting my Camaro to look as original as possible with a kick under the hood.

Re: Rear end swap and necessary parts
yes the 9 bolt parts should all work on your 10 bolt car, should be a direct bolt on. As for fixing your speedo, you will have to install the correct speedo gear in the transmission for the rear end ratio in the 9 bolt
