what 4l60e do i have
what 4l60e do i have
is there a way to find out what year 4l60e i have?
i bought it from a buddy and he has no clue what it came out of, i want to buy a stall for it but i have seen different spline count for the 4l60e transmission. i was also told the 93-97 are different from the 98+ models.
are there numbers on the trans? any help would be great.

The LS Series has a bolt hole at the top of the bell housing. The LT Series does not. Both have 30 splines. The LS has the torque converter clutch seal behind the splines on the input shaft. The LT has the torque converter clutch seal it in front of the splines just like the 700R4. The bolt on bell housing started in 1996 in some vehicles. By 1998 all 4L60E's had the bolt on bell housing.
