How long for Corvette Servo Install
I plan on doing an ls1/t56 swap this upcoming summer, but the thrill-less ride of my 305/700r4 is simply killing me.
How long/difficult is it to install a Corvette servo into my 91 z28? Can I just jack the car up and pop the servo out?

I think you have to remove the tranny crossmember and let it hang down a bit to get the servo out.

Don't expect a Corvette servo to add any thrills.
Google "corvette servo install" and you'll get a lot of how-to's.
Some of these how-to's don't describe notching the steel cover to allow quicker fluid flow into and out of the servo as described in the instructions that Dana includes with his kit. I've attached a scan of the instructions (note Step 2).

I think it takes longer to grind the notches than actually doing the R&R. Grind slowly and keep a pan of water handy. Don't let the cover get over heated. Dip it in the water frequently.
While not a necessity, one of these tools makes getting the servo out of the trans a lot easier.
