VSS Speedo Gear Confusion

So I have done the math, 15/44 is what i need for 3.73 with 4L60E and 245/50/16 tires.

Best I can see for my VSS i need 8642620 (15 tooth drive) and 25513051 (44 tooth driven).

I keep seeing these numbers for a speedo sleeve, what is this, no pictures found searching google or thirdgen. Web sites just show it discontinued much like most the speedo gears. Do I require this? Looks like it could be part# 25007339? or 25007308 or 104589... what is this and what determines which part?

Where is the best place to buy the gears and sleeve if needed? Like I said most places seem to be out of stock on at least one of them.

I already acquired the gears, just unsure of this sleeve. What is it, when do you need it, what determines what one you need?
