I have a WC T-5 and I need a new bearing retainer. All the listings on Summit say Ford and nothing about Chevy, are they the same? Also what is the difference between a non-WC bearing retainer and the WC bearing retainer?
This one says it does not work with a WC: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-700103
This one just says Ford Racing M-7050-A:
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fm...a/media/images
And this one is Ford Racing M-7050-B: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/fm...b/media/images
I'm leaning toward the M-7050-B being the right one, but I'm hoping one of the T-5 experts on the board will know. I've just about googled my eyes out and I'm still not sure on what to order

If memory serves, the OD of the retainer, where the throwout slides along it, is different.
Why do you need a new one? About the only thing that ever goes wrong with them, is wear in the above-mentioned spot.
AFAIK there is no difference in the retainer between the 1st and 2nd design T-5s for our cars. Might be for Frod; couldn't say about that.

The tube is missing off my bearing retainer and the throw out bearing is just free floating on the fork lever… It's not my DD just an on going project. I'm currently replacing the engine and clutch so I'd like to resolve this issue while I'm in there, but I couldn't find a listing for a Chevy bearing retainer. I couldn't find them at local auto stores either.

A 5-second Google search yielded, among others, the following:
http://www.drivetrain.com/parts_cata...rhaul_kit.html
Google is a wonderful tool.
