1988 Camaro t56 swap
I have a 1988 Camaro that came with a 5.0 TBI and an auto tranny.
I bought a t56 trans with most of the parts i need for the swap but i wanted to see if any one knows if i have to change anything in the computer.
I swapped the motor last year for a 1987 5.7 TPI and kept the auto but now decided to go 6 speed.
So basically the engine is the 5.7 TPI with all the wiring and computer for that motor.
Since you couldn't get a manual with the 5.7 is my computer going to have issues with the manual trans?
Also if anyone has a manual shift console plate and lower boot for sale let me know.

No the computer won't really care at all; as long as the speedo signal is hooked up and operating correctly.

In a 1988 Camaro the speedo is cable driven so I didn't think it would have any input into the ECM?
