Heating the ring gear to fit on posi.

Well, it's 29 degrees tonight and my posi is outside while my ring gear is in the house.
I have read about heating the ring gear in the oven and putting the posi in the freezer to get a slip on fit without using the bolts to draw it down.
My question is how hot should the oven be? Are there any tips or tricks I should know about when doing this?
I have already cleaned the ring gear with brake cleaner.

Just, warm. Doesn't have to be "hot".

Thanks Sofa, that's what I was wondering. 7 degrees without wind chill this morning, so that posi should be well chilled!

I would't go over about 200 degrees. If you get it too hot you can mess up the heat treat and make the gear soft.
