VIN Location on 700R4
Got a trans this weekend and wondering where the VIN/ID information is located? I found a few numbers, but I don't believe they are what I am looking for. I did find a date stamp/clock that indicates 1989. Thanks for any help.

Found the ID pad...now to decipher 0CJM289C. Anyone?
I am thinking (please correct me if I am wrong):
0= 1990
CJ= PLEASE HELP WITH THIS
M=4L60/700R4
289= Day of year
C= Third Shift

Re: VIN Location on 700R4
It does not have the big "K" however, it does have the "MD8" on the passenger side. The rear shaft is 27 spline, the front-big spline is 27 and the front-smaller spline is 30. "17" above the lock-up switch. Is it this small-front spline that dictates- I assume it must be since by 1990 they were no longer making the 27s? "8663549" Clock-like stamp is "89....6....10"

The large spline is for the stator inside the convertor
