Is this normal??
I was underneath my car and noticed something that I thought was not right. There is no bottom plate where the transmission meets the engine. The Flywheel and Torque converter are clearly visible. Isnt there suppose to be a splash guard or something there to cover that area in between the trans and the engine? Just curious.

Yes there is supposed to be a flex plate/pressure plate guard under there. What you need to do is go to the bone yard and see what they have.

Did it come that way? No. Is it supposed to be that way? No. Are ALOT of cars like that? Absolutely YES.
It's a favorite leave-off of the "just get it to run and throw away anything left over" hack-job crowd.
